Meta has its own Artificial Intelligence platform to create images and texts based on a description, however, it is not as popular and well-known as ChatGPT, Midjourney, Copilot and others. But that doesn’t mean it’s not good, in fact, it’s one of the best options available today and it’s completely free.

WhatsApp has been testing the creation of images using AI for several months based on a description from the application, a very unintuitive process since it invites you to remember a command to invoke AI and makes use of it. This function, available in the testing phase, seems not to be liked by those responsible for the application since, according to the guys at WABetaInfo, the new beta application includes a dedicated button to use its AI.

As we can see in the screenshot below, the latest beta version of the WhatsApp application for Android includes a new dedicated button to create images using AI called Imagine. At the moment it seems that it is not enabled, so the cool guys at WABetaInfo have not had the opportunity to test it.

In theory, clicking on this button should open the Meta AI interface where we must enter the description of the image we want to use and wait for the company’s servers to process the information and return one or more images as a result.

As we always say, it is a beta, which means that it does not necessarily have to reach the final version of the application, although seeing how the AI is evolving, it has every chance of staying at what it is designed for.

Don’t wait for this feature

WhatsApp has never been known for introducing eye-catching new features in its application, but has always been in the slipstream of others, especially Telegram. If you need to create images with AI from your mobile to share with your friends through WhatsApp, and the method you are using at the moment takes a lot of time, the solution is to use the Microsoft Swiftkeys keyboard.

Swiftkeys is a keyboard from Microsoft for mobile devices that includes a large number of functions and is designed for users who combine mobile and computer use. For almost a year now, this keyboard has included a function that allows you to generate images using AI using DALL-E and insert them into any document or application that we have on the screen.

To access this function, all we have to do is click on the GIF button located at the top of the keyboard and then click on the image with a pencil. Finally, we must write a brief description of the image we want to use and choose between the 4 options it offers.
