That’s because the aforementioned version of the operating system is getting closer to its end. This means that at the end of next year, in just over 12 months, you will stop receiving free official updates by the firm. With everything and with this, we tell you all this because the software giant has just sent the users of its Insider programa new update for this version.

In addition, we must keep in mind that it corrects some important problems related to commonly used tools in the system. Specifically, we are referring to the recently updated KB5039299 for Windows 10 22H2.

It initially comes from Insider users, although we must keep in mind that it does not add new features to the operating system. Basically, it focuses on fixing recently detected errors. All of this can be obtained by those subscribed to the test program through the Windows Update function of the OS.

Windows 10 Update Fixes

First of all, and if we focus on the improvements exclusive to the Beta channel, we will now notice an improved search experience using the bar next to the Home button. In fact, this is one of the sections that has received the most complaints over the years from Windows users.

On the other hand, and apart from this improvement in the taskbar, the backup function integrated in Windows will now store the Activity History and Settings preferences.

This means that, instead of doing Backups of individual hardware configurations, it will store common configurations. All of this will save us a good amount of time in configuring these important backup elements. In turn, Microsoft also fixes a relevant error in the same backup function. This results in errors appearing with certain desktops and wallpapers set.

Other bugs fixed in the operating system

We must keep in mind that the aforementioned corrections in Windows are not the only ones that have been carried out with the update KB5039299 for Windows 10. Likewise, below we are going to talk about other minor bug fixes that have been carried out in the Microsoft software.

  • Fixed a bug in resuming from hibernation that failed when BitLocker was active. Both functions no longer conflict.
  • The task list in the taskbar was launched when right-clicking on an icon, something the company has since fixed.
  • The folder options of the File Browser They added items when users clicked the delete command. A sync feature configured by third-party applications was causing this bad behavior.
  • MSIX HTTPS URI packages were not installed on Windows. The problem was due to incomplete downloads, as they resulted in failed installations.
