Calls within WhatsApp
Since the message tactic is not working particularly well for them, they are starting to make calls through WhatsApp. These do not call in a “traditional” way because the cost would be very high and calls through this application are free. To block them you only have to follow these steps:
- We have to go to the “Calls” tab within the WhatsApp application itself.
- Now, we have to search for the call that has been made with the number we want to block.
- We click on the call in question to enter it.
- Now, we must click on the three points in the upper right part.
- We select the “Block” option and that’s it.
The good thing is that this number will never be able to call us again and we will not be able to receive messages from this number either.
To avoid receiving calls from unknown numbers, WhatsApp hides a function that automatically blocks them. If you are interested, you can activate this feature by following these steps:
- On the home screen, click on the three dots in the upper right corner and go to “Settings”.
- Now, we must access the “Privacy” option.
- We go down until we find the “Calls” option and we enter.
- The option to “Silence calls from unknown numbers” appears and we select this option.
This measure prevents anyone we do not have on the agenda from calling us. This way, we will only receive calls from scheduled contacts, avoiding unwanted calls that only seek to scam us or steal our data.
