Every day, we receive through WhatsApp, Telegram or any other messaging application, the odd link to a TikTok video. Depending on who the sender is, we can get an idea of what type of video we are going to see, so we already have prepared which emoji, text or GIF we are going to respond with.
The main purpose of sharing short videos not only from TikTok, but from any platform is to have a laugh with our friends/family and we eagerly await their response.
If you want to change the way you you share your TikTok videos with your friends so that, instead of receiving an emoji, text or GIF, you receive a response in video format, the application you should use is called Seen.
Show if you really like the TikTok links you receive
Seen is a new app that wants to change the way TikTok videos are shared. For now, it has focused on this platform for obvious reasons since it is the most popular of all, but it plans to also make it compatible with Instagram Reels and the YouTube Shorts.
With Seen you can send videos individually or in groups of up to 11 people. When the recipients receive the video, we must record a video with their reaction while it plays, a reaction that can only be seen by the person who sent the video and also by mutual friends.
With the video reaction we have received from our friends, we should record another video when we see their reaction. According to its creators, it wants to radically change the way in which we interact with our friends when we share videos from this platform.
Seen includes a feed showing the most popular TikTok videos at that moment and, in addition, it also allows you to share videos stored in the photo album. At the moment, this application is only available in the App Store, but, according to the team behind its development, they will soon launch a version for Android.
Behind this application is a veteran mobile application developer, Faheem Kajee along with the actress Karen Gillan. If the name sounds familiar to you, it’s because we’re talking about the actress who plays the role of Nebula, Gamora’s adopted sister and Thanos’ adopted daughter in the movie Guardians of the Galaxy.
It’s not the first
Despite having received financial support from co-founder of TwitchKevin Lin, the founder of the Rotten Tomatoes website, Patrick Le and the co-founder of Twitter, Ev Williams, that does not mean that this application is guaranteed success.
Seen is not the first application of this type to hit the market, but it is the first that they want to take advantage of the pull of the multimedia format to share content and leverage TikTok as a primary source.
At the moment, the application is free of advertising and will continue to do so in the future. If it is as successful as expected, the platform will add advertising and different systems to monetize content such as filters and games. If you want to give the application a try, you can do so through the following link as long as your iPhone is managed by iOS 16 or higher.
